George Micalef

I was born in Corfu in December 1985, with Maltese origins. Since childhood I used pencils and markers to extend my soul onto a white surface and ever since then I have never stopped drawing, painting, creating, and experimenting on every kind of surface with colours and materials that sparked my interest and curiosity. I have taken part in several group exhibitions in Greece and have presented 6 solo shows. Since 2017 I am working as a political cartoonist for The Press Project. I have also illustrated books and album art for underground music bands. I have been a member of the “Corfu Artists’ Union” since 2010.
