Elena Provata

Elena Provata was born in 1988 on the island of Corfu. From 2007 to 2012 she studied at the Visual and Applied Arts department of University of Western Macedonia in Greece, with a specialization in painting under the guidance of John Castritsis whilst also attending the engraving workshop of Dimitra Siaterli. Further studies include the “Askardamicti” School of Liberal Arts from which she graduated in 2018 with a specialization on the crafting and embodiment of theatrical puppets and dolls , as well as the “Fairytale: Creative reading and utilization” educational program in Capodistrian University of Athens. From 2014 to present, parallel to her art career, also works as an educator and teacher in various public schools. Of these years two where spent in schools for kids with special needs. Her art career includes a range of team exhibitions as well as two individual ones while also residential programs and biennale in Greece and abroad. She is also a member of the Greek Printmakers' Association and the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
